The scorching heat of June evoked this longing for a wintry clime, hence this poetry.
I’ve always been drawn
Into the winter season.
Nothing beats the scene
Of the pristine white blanket
That gently covers the earth.
This somber and gelid season
Envelopes my guileless heart,
Evokes prudence in my mind,
Tells me to be unfailingly on alert;
Else, this young heart and mind
Will be deftly enamored by you.
